      Please note that we’ve already opened a dialog with the Windows Phone Developer Support team and they are looking in to this issue. In our testing of local and remote devices everything works, it’s only after upload and install from the marketplace that there are problems. We will update this and the other thread as soon as we have any information from them. Thanks!

      Hello Brandon,

      Thank you for your patience. I apologize for the time it's taken to resolve this issue and for the lack of feedback. I do want to assure you though, that our engineers did not lose focus in the interim on working on a fix for this issue. At this point, as I understand it, a fix is being tested and should be ready for the next deployment window later this month or early April.

      I will keep you updated as we are able to clarify more of this information. Again, please accept my deepest apologies for the length of time and inconvenience this must have imposed on you.

      Please do let me know if you have any additional information since you last corresponded with my colleague, Danny, or any other concerns.

      Was actually about to contact you. You can follow the thread I'm having w/ Windows Phone Developer support in their forums. Not sure if there's any special access you need.

      In case you can't access it, basically after 5 weeks and about 3 responses from customer support they told me "we don't support code issues" - awesome. So they directed me to the forums. I have proven that even a Beta submission from the store removes the Search Extensibility, while a local XAP deploy works fine. If you are interested I can loop you in to the beta, though as I've said it doesn't work either (yet) but you can help me test future work if you like. I'd be much appreciative.

      If you're interested in this all I need is the Live ID associated w/ your Windows Phone Store account.

      i had a friend of mine test the XAP on his 920 and he confirmed the one i gave him works. It has just been approved again in to the marketplace. If the next update doesn't work for you, then MS is ruining the XAP and i'll have to start working with them to figure out what's going on.

      ok i've just submitted another update. I'm going to let this ride but also work on procuring a wp8 for testing on a real app. i haven't seen an emulator vs device discrepancy before, so this surprises me.
